Anna-Kate and Tom chose the beautiful historic Delgattie Estate when planning their Mount Gambier wedding. Tom’s family had recently purchased the property which provided the perfect space to celebrate with their family and friends.
They did an incredible amount of landscaping to create the space for the enormous clear marquee from Festival Hire. When Anna-Kate first contacted me about photographing their wedding, it was through a recommendation from two of her bridesmaids. Although I had yet to photograph their weddings, her bridesmaids Stella and Halaena had me booked and wanted Anna-Kate to do the same! Receiving recommendations from current and past brides is absolutely heartwarming.
They chose to have a second shooter for their day so my husband (and number one second photographer!), Luke, spent the morning with the boys while I was with the girls. This allowed ample time for getting ready and more photos for their ceremony and bridal portraits. Their two puppers Dash and Diesel were of course in front of my camera for half the morning!
For portrait time we snuck down to Marist Park for photos under the oak trees. It was so peaceful down there and I can honestly say I’ve never laughed so hard with a bridal party – so much fun!
The reception is where the party really started! The marquee was styled to perfection by Anna-Kate and it looked amazing. Limoncello vintage caravan bar was pumping out beverages, as was the espresso martini bar! Everyone partied under the magical fairy lights all night long.
Fine art wedding albums are one of my loves. When couples choose to print their photos in an heirloom album, it makes my heart sing. Anna-Kate and Tom have chosen a leather album in the timeless ash grey. It is beautiful. You can see their wedding album here.
Anna-Kate and Tom, I can’t thank you enough for inviting Luke and I to photograph your amazing day!
Megan xx.
